Differences JBL PartyBox Series

The differences lie primarily in the performance, but also in the equipment.

Output power

The JBL PartyBox 1000 takes first place in terms of output power. With up to 1100 watts the device is in front. In second place is the JBL PartyBox 300 with 240 watts. The PartyBox 100 offers you 160 watts in last place. The differences are not small and therefore definitely a criterion for the purchase decision.

Battery life

With the battery life the difference is somewhat smaller, nevertheless present. The two larger speakers have a battery life of up to 18 hours. With the JBL PartyBox 100, you can last up to 12 hours. In all three cases, however, I think the performance is good.

The charging time of the JBL PartyBox 100 is about 6.5 hours. The JBL PartyBox 300 takes 5 hours to fully charge. The JBL PartyBox 1000 has no built-in battery and can only be operated with a direct power supply.

Connections (input and output)

The best way to see the connections is to look at the comparison table. All three models have a 3.5mm AUX. As well as an input for a microphone or guitar.

The two larger models (300 and 1000) have an additional chinch input and output.

On all JBL PartyBox models you can also plug in a USB stick to play music.

Powerbank

This also brings us to the interesting question of what else the USB port can do. The models do not differ here. All of them also provide power via the USB port, which gives you the function of a power bank.

Weight and size

The bigger the number, the bigger the box. This applies to the dimensions as well as the weight:

The JBL PartyBox 100 is a damn big and heavy device.

JBL DJ Pad and DJ Armband

The biggest version, JBL PartyBox 1000*, only offers DJ functions. This allows you to record and play sounds directly. So you get a DJ pad directly at the box. Neither the PartyBox 100 nor the PartyBox 300 have this built in.

Which JBL PartyBox is the best?

The best PartyBox is of course the JBL PartyBox 1000*. It gives you the best performance and the most features.

But it's not that easy to decide. Many of the functions are probably not relevant for you. Also the performance is not necessary in many cases. Partly probably also not applicable.

For this reason even the small JBL PartyBox 100* could be sufficient in most cases. If you want it to be a bit bigger, then the JBL PartyBox 300* is your choice. There you get more power and a longer battery life. You also have chinch connections and the function of the Powerbank.
