Differences Gymboss Classic and Gymboss miniMax

As the name miniMax suggests, the device is somewhat more complex than the Gymboss Classic. The two models are identical in size. The complexity only affects the functional range.

Intervals - number and complexity

The Gymboss miniMax offers 3 to 25 different intervals. You won't get that with the Gymboss Classic. There you are limited to 1 or 2 intervals.

With Gymboss miniMax, you can create much more complex intervals. There you get a real added value to normal timers.

Saving programs

Price

A big difference between Gymboss miniMax and Classic is the price. The Gymboss Classic costs about 10 Euros less. This brings the price down to $16.95 (as of Jan 2020). As far as I know, the price has been quite stable for quite some time. The Gymboss miniMax is $27.95 (as of Jan 2020).

Which gymboss should you buy?

The Gymboss Classic* is sufficient for most applications. I myself also have the smaller model.

The more complex intervals are more relevant for a few. Even for trainers it does not necessarily make much sense. A small advantage of the Gymboss miniMax* is the saving of intervals. However, the interval timer is generally relatively easy and quick to set.

In my opinion the Gymboss Classic* is a good choice. You save some money and get everything you need. If you want to invest a little more, you are not wrong with the Gymboss miniMax*.
