Display and size

Battery life
When it comes to battery life, Garmin puts something on the Venu 3. The Garmin Venu 3 manages up to 14 days in smartwatch mode. Its predecessor only manages up to 11 days.

If you want to use GPS, the battery life drops enormously. The Garmin Venu 2 then only manages up to 8 hours. The Garmin Venu 3 even only up to 7 hours, which can be attributed to the improved GPS
The smaller models Garmin Venu 2s and Garmin Venu 3s create in the battery life slightly less.
Wheelchair Mode
An exciting new feature on the Garmin Venu 3 is the Wheelchair Mode. In my opinion, this is a very good function and also something new. However, it is not a world first, as Apple also introduced this function to its own watches in 2016 with the WatchOS 3.
With the Garmin Venu 3, impaired people can now also make the activity modes and monitoring of steps or locomotion.
Microphone and speaker
We remember the Garmin Venu 2 Plus, because here the microphone and speaker were already introduced. With the Garmin Venu 3, this hardware is used a little better. So you can now phone, send voice messages and also convert voice to text messages with the watch. However, you still need to be connected to the smartphone for these functions. The Garmin Venu 3 does not have a sim card.
Improved heart rate sensor
Compared to the Garmin Venu 2, the pulse sensor at the Garmin Venu 3 has been improved. Instead of 2 LEDs, there are now 4 LEDs. Incidentally, this is the same optimization that Garmin has also made with the Garmin Fenux 7 Pro.
Sleep detection
The Garmin Venu 3 now automatically detects sleep, which is not the case with the Garmin Venu 2. A good feature in my opinion. Fitbit offers this, by the way, already very long with.
Which Garmin Venu is better?
The newer Garmin Venu 3 definitely offers a few good new features. Also technically, the Garmin Venu 3 was brought to a new level, which makes the investment worthwhile in my opinion.
Especially for wheelchair users, the Garmin Venu 3 is of course groundbreaking if they don't want to be tied to Apple.
If you want to save money, the Garmin Venu 2 is still a good choice, as the Venu 3 is of course a bit more expensive. However, you have to do without a few functions.
